Melissa Sunsdahl is Vice President of Operations at Pence Media Group (PMG), where she oversees agency operations and helps ensure the delivery of high quality marketing and communications services for clients. With more than 20 years of experience in agency leadership, marketing strategy, and client service, Melissa brings deep expertise in building strong teams, improving operational efficiency, and supporting long term client success.
Throughout her career, Melissa has partnered with organizations across a wide range of industries to develop and execute strategic marketing and communications programs. Her experience includes public relations, brand positioning, integrated marketing strategy, and client relationship management. She is known for combining strategic thinking with practical execution, helping teams turn ideas into measurable results while maintaining strong partnerships with clients.
At PMG, Melissa leads operational strategy and works closely with consultancy leadership and client teams to strengthen internal processes, streamline workflows, and support collaboration across departments. Her work helps ensure that client programs are executed efficiently while maintaining the high standards of service and strategic guidance that define the firm’s approach.
Melissa focuses on aligning people, processes, and strategy so teams can work effectively and deliver meaningful outcomes for clients. She brings a thoughtful and organized approach to agency operations and is skilled at managing complex projects, guiding cross functional teams, and supporting the growth of both clients and colleagues.
Before joining PMG, Melissa held leadership roles within agency environments where she led client service teams and managed integrated marketing and communications initiatives. Her work helped organizations increase visibility, strengthen brand reputation, and connect more effectively with their audiences.
Melissa is passionate about building collaborative teams and creating systems that support both creativity and accountability. She believes the most successful agencies combine strong strategy, clear communication, and operational discipline to drive lasting results.
Outside of work, Melissa enjoys cooking and baking and is an avid reader, often finishing several books each week. Above all, her family is her top priority. She can often be found at home with her husband, two sons, and three dogs or cheering on their younger son at the baseball field with his travel team or the Carmel High School baseball team.
