In the spring of 2025, Pence Media Group partnered with Ritz Charles to develop a comprehensive brand strategy, messaging, and visual framework that clarified its market position as Indiana’s leading full-service catering and event venue company. This engagement was grounded in a strategic review of existing brand assets, collaborative discovery with internal stakeholders, and an assessment of the competitive landscape.

Together, Pence Media Group executed our signature Make it Known branding package, establishing the core messaging foundations that now guide the brand, from its position statement, mission, vision, and core values to a clearly defined brand promise and unique value propositions. We also developed a cohesive brand voice, customer persona, elevator pitch, and tagline, giving the Ritz Charles team the tools to communicate with clarity and consistency across marketing, sales, recruiting, and every guest-facing touchpoint.

Timeless + Distinctive Visual Identity

To pair with the strengthened messaging, PMG developed a refreshed visual identity designed to feel both timeless and distinctive. The stand-out component to the updated logo is a hand-drawn portico icon – an intentional nod to the iconic architectural feature that has become synonymous with the Ritz Charles experience. For generations of guests, their portico has served as the welcoming entrance to weddings, celebrations, and special occasions. By bringing it into the brand mark, the identity connects the company’s visual presence with the physical place and memories people already associate with Ritz Charles.

The updated logo, new font pairings, and expanded color palette were combined with supporting design elements and a curated visual mood board into a visual brand guide. This guide equips the Ritz Charles team with a clear framework to maintain a polished, cohesive look and feel as the brand continues to evolve.

Together, the messaging and visual system create a strong, long-term foundation that strengthens brand recognition, aligns internal teams, and ensures the Ritz Charles story is told consistently across every platform. With this strategic clarity in place, the brand is well positioned to support future marketing initiatives, digital platforms, and continued growth in an increasingly competitive hospitality and events landscape.

Website Design + Development

In partnership with Innovative, Pence Media Group provided strategic leadership, design and development of a new Ritz Charles website to ensure the updated brand was consistently reflected across its digital presence. The website was designed to showcase Ritz Charles’ reputation for elevated, full-service event experiences while clearly communicating its breadth of offerings, venues, and culinary expertise. Guided by the refined brand strategy and voice, the site architecture, content hierarchy, and visual design were developed to enhance usability, support multiple audience segments, and reinforce brand credibility. The result is a modern, scalable platform that strengthens market position and supports ongoing marketing and business development efforts.

Photography + Video Production

PMG led the production of a photography and video shoot on-site at Ritz Charles during a beautifully designed, live event that allowed key aspects of the business to be captured including culinary arts, top-notch hospitality, beautiful venues, event design and the event planning process. Michael Durr Photo/Video conducted the videography work with the support of Daniel Woody as drone videographer, and David Pluimer captured photography. The photo and video assets are evergreen and utilized on the company’s new website, social media channels, and sales and marketing collateral.
