Katie Kiel brings more than a decade of experience in national and local media to Pence Media Group. She graduated from Ball State University with a B.A. in Telecommunications and Journalism. After graduation, Katie worked as a reporter for INDYCAR on NBC Sports, Fox Sports Midwest, PBR, NCAA and Indiana Pacers.
As a sports reporter, she covered national events like the Indianapolis 500 and PBR Global Cup along with other notable events including NCAA Selection Sunday and Basketball Day in Indiana. Outside of sports, Katie also worked as a freelance reporter covering breaking news, traffic, and community events. Katie’s extensive knowledge of media and community relations, storytelling, reporting, segment production and videography, drives value for PMG clients and our partners.
When she is not working, Katie is a passionate volunteer with Women for Riley and the 500 Festival. She also enjoys traveling to race tracks across the country with her family to support her husband and Chip Ganassi Racing.
