Senior PR, Marketing Strategist and Videographer Leading Brand Growth Through Storytelling
Lauren Casey Bemis is a passionate storyteller and communications professional with more than a decade of experience in marketing, journalism, and local media. She joined Pence Media Group after spending 11 years at WRTV in Indianapolis, where she served Central Indiana families as a trusted voice on Good Morning Indiana. For most of her time at the station, Lauren anchored the weekday morning newscast, helping viewers start their day informed and connected to the stories that mattered most in their communities.
An Emmy-nominated journalist, Lauren developed a reputation for authentic storytelling and meaningful community engagement. During her time at WRTV, she covered some of the region’s most significant moments, including the Indianapolis 500, major interstate construction projects, severe weather outbreaks, and police officer funerals. Her reporting often focused on the people behind the headlines—Hoosiers whose perseverance, resilience, and generosity shaped their communities.
Lauren also helped lead one of the station’s most impactful initiatives, the multi-year, Emmy-nominated Hiring Hoosiers project. Through this station-wide effort, Lauren and her team highlighted workforce challenges while connecting viewers with job opportunities, career training programs, and resources designed to improve their lives. The initiative exemplified her commitment to journalism that not only informs but also serves the community.
In addition to her on-air work, Lauren built a diverse skill set that includes videography, video editing, writing, digital storytelling, and public speaking. Her extensive background in local media and social media strategy allows her to help organizations communicate complex ideas in clear, compelling ways. At Pence Media Group, she partners with clients to craft strategic messaging, tell authentic brand stories, and build meaningful connections with targeted audiences across digital, broadcast, and print platforms.
Lauren’s storytelling approach is rooted in listening first—understanding people, perspectives, and the nuances of a message before shaping it into a narrative that resonates. Her experience working in fast-paced news environments gives her a unique perspective on how to reach audiences and create messages that inspire action.
Outside of work, Lauren’s greatest priorities are her family and her faith. She and her husband, Brooks—her high school sweetheart—are proud Franklin College graduates raising their two children in the Center Grove community where they both grew up. Together, they also enjoy running their family’s craft distillery in downtown Franklin, staying deeply connected to the community they call home.
