2022 at Pence Media Group

As we officially say goodbye to 2022, we want to recognize and celebrate PMG’s amazing clients and the accomplishments we reached together. We delivered our clients countless earned media hits, comprehensive digital transformations, grand opening celebrations, influencer marketing campaigns, press conferences, and much more.

From winning two Telly awards for the brand videos of our clients, Pluie and DL Lowry Salon, to supporting the National FFA Convention & Expo with nearly 70,000 attendees, our team and clients have a lot to celebrate this year. PMG is also excited to have added three new team members. Here’s a closer look at some of the past year’s wins.

 

 

Brand Refreshes + Comprehensive Digital Transformations

A brand is so much more than a company name and a logo – it’s a promise of who you are and what you stand for. In 2022, several of our clients were in need of a brand refresh to more properly align with the message they wanted to send to the world. 


Crystal Signature Events, formerly known as Crystal Catering, underwent a PMG Comprehensive Digital Transformation (CDT) this year to help align its three event venues and four service pillars under one parent umbrella, unifying and strengthening its already well-known and respected brand. 

Integrity Learning Center, a pediatric learning center in Plainfield, IN, had a CDT this year as well. Our team created a fun and colorful, yet educational brand for Integrity with an updated logo and brand messaging, along with a new color palette. 

With four car dealerships across central Indiana, Chariot Automotive Group (CAG) came to PMG to visually elevate and better communicate its brand. We were able to do so with brand discovery, development, and implementation.

Most recently, Carmel Swim Academy (CSA) underwent a brand refresh with PMG. The CSA  hoped to  distinguish its brand from that of Carmel Swim Club. Our team of experts created a brand that speaks to CSA’s relation to Carmel Swim Club, but differentiates it as a place of all swim levels to enjoy. PMG is excited to help Carmel Swim Academy celebrate in a grand opening celebration early next year.

Client Celebrations

From grand opening events to celebrating client milestones, PMG was proud to help several clients plan and execute celebratory events in 2022. With balloon arches, celebrity DJ’s, (enter Nick Cannon from the grand opening of Indianapolis’s first Sugar Factory location), ribbon cuttings and more, we celebrated our clients in big ways. 

When an emcee was necessary for these events, PMG provided our owner Nicole Pence Becker or our Public Relations Manager Katie Kiel.

Event Execution

When Linda Znachko of He Knows Your Name Ministry came to PMG for support in executing a burial service early in the year, and then a press conference and celebration of life in the fall of 2022, PMG was prepared for the project. Our team created press releases, media advisories, drafted talking points, and conducted media training, monitoring, and reporting for the event that called attention to a national issue that many were unfamiliar with.

PMG had the opportunity to execute one of Indianapolis’s largest annual conventions this fall when we worked for the 95th National FFA Convention & Expo. Our team was incredibly proud to support this year’s convention by engaging our amazing network of experts, including our friends at Holsapple Communications. By supporting with On-Site Social Media Content Creation + Management, Crisis Communications, PR, Media Training, Monitoring + Tracking, and Influencer Marketing + Management, PMG was able to provide FFA the necessary tools to promote the convention in a positive light and give the organization the promotion it deserved in all facets of the media. With the help of our team, National FFA’s social media account analytics increased dramatically, influencer reach was in the millions, and the event was executed as smoothly as possible.

PR + New Audiences

When building a powerful brand, one of the most important steps is finding a platform to share the brand’s story. Public Relations (PR) is often a popular tactic and one that has led to many wins for PMG clients. We celebrated major client PR wins in 2022! 


In the spring of last year, Good Morning America featured the co-founders of client Pluie, Addie Gundry and Brittany Hizer in a story by journalist Eva Pilgrim that highlighted how the two moms created the world’s first self-sanitizing changing table for public restrooms. Once PMG landed the pitch, the segment was supported by on-brand product lifestyle photography and b-roll that was created earlier in 2022 at one of our PMG production shoots. 

He Knows Your Name ministry was featured across multiple news platforms showcasing how and why founder Linda Znachko + Marion County Chief Deputy Coroner Alfie McGinty laid to rest 171 cremated remains in a celebration of life and burial service in the fall. The cremated remains represented adults who died in Marion County from 2006-2019 and were not claimed to be properly laid to rest by their family members. Coverage of the event included The Indy Star, Fox59, WTHR, WISH-TV, and WRTV.

Pickleball was all the rave this year, and our client MashCraft Brewing debuted a court at its Fishers location this year. The media loved covering the restaurant’s newest edition, as Fox59, the Hamilton County Reporter, and Craft Brewing Business covered the news. 

 

In July, we were happy to see our client The Bridgewater Club featured as the front cover for Club + Resort Business Magazine.  We look forward to gaining more coverage for our clients in the new year.

PMG Wins at 2022 Telly Awards + PRSA Pinnacle Awards

Pence Media Group was incredibly proud to stand beside some of the world’s leading corporations at the 2022 Telly Awards. The Telly Awards annually showcase the best work and projects created within television or video for all screens. 2022’s winners were selected from 11,000+ entries from all 50 states and five continents. The winners included a variety of top-tier brands and smaller media companies such as ViacomCBS, Warner Bros., and ESPN. 

PMG won Telly Awards in three separate Branded Content Campaigns in 2022 (Branding, Promotional + Business-to-Consumer), a silver + bronze award for Pluie’s Brand Overview, and a bronze award for the DL Lowry Difference. Each of these campaigns were created as part of a PMG Comprehensive Digital Transformation, which includes securing evergreen photography + videography.

PMG Production Shoot: Securing Evergreen Assets

Words can tell a great brand story but at PMG we believe that what takes the story to the next level is visual assets. This year we were able to secure amazing evergreen assets for various clients to help visually share their story with the world. To name a few, working alongside Ashley Whitmer we secured photos for clients Indy Night Nanny, CCHA, Class 101, and Kids360º. To showcase our client DL Lowry’s newest offering, Workspace 727 at DL Lowry, we brought in Ashley Whitmer’s talents as well. Friend of PMG, Michael Durr, shot videography for CCHA, Class 101, and Kids360º during production shoots. For our client Team Deck, Jennifer Driscoll captured photos and Fierce Little Bird Productions shot video assets. 

Influencer Marketing + Management Wins

In 2022, PMG proved itself as experts in managing influencer marketing campaigns. Through engagement of our extensive local and national network, we successfully executed several influencer campaigns. 

Key wins to highlight in the year 2022 are: 

  • An audience of 2,331,965 followers had the potential to consume Sugar Factory content
  • Social media followers reached 1,387,800 people for sweetgreen
  • We drove 15,426,527 followers to National FFA’s social media platforms during convention week

#PMGGivesBack in 2022

At PMG, we are always looking to give back to  the community in any capacity that we can. In 2022 alone, PMG provided services to several organizations including Women for Riley, the Tyler Trent Foundation, Gleaners, Make-A-Wish, Purposeful Living Inc., Gleaners Food Bank, and Our Lady Mount Carmel. Team Growth

Pence Media Group was proud to welcome three new team members to better serve a growing client roster over the last year. New additions to our woman-owned company include Katie Kiel as Public Relations Manager, Lexie Manor as a Strategic Account Coordinator, and Melissa Mattingly as an Events + Marketing Strategist. Emily Sullivan was also promoted to Strategic Account Manager. We look forward to winning for our clients in 2023!
