2024 at Pence Media Group

As we officially say goodbye to 2024, we want to recognize and celebrate PMG’s amazing clients and the accomplishments we made together. We delivered our clients countless earned media hits, completed several comprehensive digital transformations, coordinated grand opening celebrations, developed impactful influencer marketing campaigns, organized informational press conferences, and much more. 

 

From receiving our Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) certification, to being named Best Small Agency of the Year by the MUSE Creative Awards for the second year in a row, to winning four Telly awards, and two PRSA Hoosier Awards of Honor, our team and clients have much to celebrate. PMG is also excited to have grown with five new team members. Here’s a closer look at our year in review.

 

PMG Won Several Awards in 2024 

We were thrilled to have been awarded three prestigious MUSE Creative Awards for the outstanding work our team has done to promote our clients and elevate their story. This included being named the MUSE Best Small Agency of the Year.

Pence Media Group was nominated for an Emmy for our exceptional work producing the FFA Live! Inside Convention Show for National FFA. Our special event coverage at the 96th Annual National FFA Convention & Expo in Indianapolis earned us a spot on the prestigious Emmy nomination list.

In June, the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Hoosier Chapter celebrated the best of the best in Indiana’s public relations, marketing, and communications space from 2023 during its annual Pinnacle Awards. Pence Media Group won 2 Awards of Honor for our outstanding client work.

Pence Media Group was incredibly proud to be among the world’s leading corporations at the 2024 Telly Awards. The annual Telly Awards competition showcases the best work and projects created within television or video for all screens. PMG won four Telly’s in the competitions 45th year.

We were honored with a prestigious Silver American Advertising Award (ADDY) from the American Advertising Federation in the North Central Indiana competition for our collaborative B2B website project for Litho Press, Inc.

Public Relations Wins

When building a powerful brand, one of the most important steps is finding a platform to share the brand’s story. Public Relations (PR) is often a popular tactic and one that has led to many wins for PMG clients.

BOGG

At the start of the year, Bogg® Bag hired PMG for public relations and earned media support. Bogg® Bag is a quality lifestyle brand that makes life easier for those who care a lot and carry it all. Bogg was launched in 2008 by full-time working mom with an entrepreneurial spirit Kim Vaccarella, and is headquartered in Secaucus, NJ. Bogg was featured in Good Morning America, Today, Nat Geo, Women’s Health, and many more thanks to PMG’s public relations efforts.

He Knows Your Name Ministry

In the 1990s, authorities discovered the remains of eight individuals at Fox Hollow Farm in Westfield, IN. Another victim, identified just last year, has brought the total to nine. There are 10,000 remains connected to this case that were scattered across the 18-acre Fox Hollow estate. This magnitude of remains is only second to that of the World Trade Center, which had 20,000. With a mission to ensure every life is remembered with dignity, He Knows Your Name Ministry, in partnership with the Hamilton County Coroner’s Office, hosted a public funeral and monument dedication for the victims. PMG secured coverage in Fox News, Indy Star, WTHR, CBS4, WISH-TV, and many more.

 

Rohrman Automotive Group

With dealerships in Indiana, Illinois, and Wisconsin, Rohrman Automotive Group has been providing the Midwest with quality new and used vehicles for more than 60 years. Ryan Rohrman, CEO of Rohrman Automotive Group, was featured in Fox Business this year to share his thoughts on why millions of car owners are delaying maintenance repairs as costs rise. Ryan explained that another factor worsening the situation is the deficit in the used car market.

Tiffany Skilling Interiors

TIffany Skilling Interiors garnered a lot of national media coverage in 2024. One of the biggest features was an article by Business of Home to talk about her pursuit of quality rather than quantity in projects.

Crystal Signature Events

Taylor Swift took Indianapolis by storm this fall and Crystal Signature Events hosted the SWIFT + SHIMMER Pre-Party at their Heirloom venue to celebrate! The family-friendly event lasted three days and included Swift-inspired photo ops, treats and fun activities. PMG garnered coverage in several local media outlets to promote the exciting event.

24/7 DINK

Opening Fall 2024, 24/7 DINK offers a state-of-the-art facility boasting 20 top-tier indoor courts and a model that gives power to the player. As the name implies, the facility will be open 24/7 for pickleball players. The new facility will be where the old Marsh grocery store was on East 116th Street. PMG made it loud, securing hits in the IBJ, FOX59, WRTV, and more for the location announcement.

 

 

Event Execution Wins

Lucas Oil Products

Lucas Oil found a new home for its global HQ in Indianapolis in 2024. When they wanted help marketing the event, they called PMG. Lucas Oil Products are trusted worldwide—from everyday drivers to industrial workers, racing athletes, and outdoor enthusiasts. This event celebrated their incredible impact across industries while showcasing their commitment to innovation and excellence. PMG was honored to provide public relations and earned media coverage, photography and videography production, live social media execution, and on-site media support for the grand opening event.

97th National FFA Convention & Expo

PMG had the opportunity to execute one of the largest annual conventions in Indianapolis this fall when we worked on the 97th National FFA Convention & Expo. The team provided FFA the necessary tools to promote the convention in a positive light and give the organization the promotion it deserved through the following tactics:

  • On-Site Social Media Content Creation and Management
  • Crisis Communications
  • Public Relations
  • Media Training, Monitoring and Tracking
  • Influencer Marketing and Management

As part of this project, PMG co-produced the FFA Live! Inside Convention highlight show for its second year. Student-reporters from across the country took us behind-the-scenes with broadcast-style news stories and PMG’s Nicole Pence Becker served as host and interviewed several guests as we built an entire working newsroom at the bottom of Lucas Oil Stadium. PMG was proud to partner with INNOVATIVE to execute this special project.

 

 

Conquer Paralysis Now

Conquer Paralysis Now (CPN), a nonprofit dedicated to furthering advancements in spinal cord injury research and treatment, was founded by INDYCAR owner and paralysis advocate Sam Schmidt. CPN activated PMG to help execute the grand opening of the DRIVEN NeuroRecovery Center powered by NeuroHope. PMG’s Anna Carrera and Claire Hunter led public relations initiatives, Lauren Casey Bemis produced an event sizzle reel and highlight video following the event, and Lexie Manor was on-site to capture photos and manage CPN’s social media platforms with live story sharing during the event. Katie Kiel managed all vendors and handled the guest list and invitations.

 

 

Grow With Us Ag

In the fall, PMG managed the campaign launch for Grow With Us Ag. This new initiative by Indiana FFA and National FFA is dedicated to expanding agricultural education and leadership development across Indiana. PMG was honored to be part of this journey from start to finish. A true labor of love, our team had been developing the Grow With Us Ag brand for over a year. When it was time to hit play on the brand launch, PMG provided public relations, on-site media coverage, live social media management, and video production. This project was led by PMG’s Senior PR + Marketing Strategist, Lisa Wallce.

 

Brand Refreshes + Comprehensive Digital Transformations

A brand is so much more than a company name and a logo – it’s a promise of who you are and what you stand for. In 2024, several of our clients were in need of a brand refresh and one was in need of a Comprehensive Digital Transformation (CDT). A CDT is a multi-step, intentionally sequenced process designed by PMG to strategically transform your brand from ordinary to extraordinary.

 

PMG created and elevated the brands below by:

  • Updating the brand and brand guidelines
  • Designing, developing and writing the new website
  • Producing evergreen photography + videography assets with our PMG network and in-house team
  • Crafting and managing dynamic social media content

Located in Indianapolis, Turkle & Associates is the premier center for plastic surgery, skin care, and laser treatment in Indiana.

 

LRG Restaurant Group

LRG Restaurant Group includes Anthony’s Chophouse and 3UP Rooftop Lounge. Anthony’s Chophouse is a premier family-owned, modern steakhouse that redefines the fine-dining experience in downtown Carmel. 3UP Rooftop Lounge is an indoor/outdoor rooftop lounge located atop Anthony’s Chophouse. It boasts incredible skyline views, serves shareable plates and offers trendy cocktails.

Sigma Builders

With decades of design experience combined with a passion for architecture, Sigma builds each custom luxury home with functionality and innovative design features to best suit clients’ needs, starting with interactive 3D technology to create a unique personalized home design including careful consideration to maximize views and lot characteristics.

Grow With Us

 Grow With Us Ag is new initiative by Indiana FFA & National FFA dedicated to expanding agricultural education and leadership development across Indiana.

PMG also developed brands for Story, Carmel Swim Club, Crouching Tigers, and 92c Partners. Stay tuned for more information as some of these new brands launch in 2025.

Production Shoot Success

Words tell a great brand story, but at PMG we believe that visual assets take the story to the next level. This year, we were able to secure amazing evergreen assets for various clients to help visually communicate their story with the world. 

In 2024, Lauren Casey Bemis served as PMG’s in-house videographer and Megan Benish as our in-house photographer for several clients. Lauren produced videos for Conquer Paralysis Now, Lucas Oil Products, Sigma Builders, Girls on the Run and several others.

 Megan captured photos for Crouching Tigers, Sigma Builders, the grand opening of Lucas Oil Products new global HQ in Indianapolis and more.

For Conner Prairie’s Headless Horseman Festival and A Merry Prairie Holiday, PMG was asked to secure video and photo assets as well as manage social media content to help market these events and share these stories visually.

Influencer Marketing + Management Wins 

In 2024, PMG team members proved themselves to be experts in managing influencer marketing campaigns. Through engagement of our extensive local and national network, we successfully executed several influencer campaigns. 

Key influencer highlights for 2024 include:

  • PMG activated our Indianapolis influencer network to drive ticket sales for the Wine, Women & Shoes event which benefits the Make-A-Wish foundation. 
  • In the month of May, we collaborated with Simplicity Juices and activated Indy 500 influencers giving them complimentary BOGG bags. An audience of over 2 million followers had the potential to consume BOGG content due to the campaign.
  • PMG produced reels with Timnah Masariu, who has more than 25,000 followers, to drive brand awareness for Chariot Automotive Group.

Client Celebrations

From grand opening events to commemorating company milestones, PMG was proud to plan and execute several celebratory business events in 2024. With balloon arches, DJ’s, ribbon cuttings and more, we celebrated in big ways. 

 


When an emcee was necessary for these events, PMG owner Nicole Pence Becker led the festivities and engaged the crowd.

Team Growth

Pence Media Group was proud to welcome five new team members to better serve a growing client roster over the last year. New additions to our woman-owned company include Melissa Sunsdahl as Director of Client Success, Megan Benish as Director of Marketing Services, Molly Shreve as Director of Brand Strategy, Claire Hunter as Senior PR + Marketing Strategist, and Lauren Casey Bemis as PR + Marketing Strategist. All of them – and the rest of our team – look forward to winning even more for our clients in 2025!
